iPhone Clones?

I want to get a Chinese iPhone clone.

If anyone knows about CECT phones, which one should I get?

The models are i68+, i9, i9+++ and i999 - only I can't find any information about them, I don't know which model is newest and which is best.

So can someone help me out?

Don't expect them to work well at all - without decent hardware and software, the phone will just run worse than any decent mobile phones!

I have both. Real iPhone is far better than the Chinese one.

Yes, there are fake iPhones on the market. usually they are cheap but, God forbid you buy them! They are full of bugs and the quality of the plastic is terrible!

A lot of them look very nice! You might even be able to convince your friends that you own an iPhone (providing they don't look too closely). The problem is that the interface isn't comparable with the real thing, nor is the quality of the touch screen, the software or the components. Plus, you lose any resale value. If you think that you can make a substantial amount of your iPhone investment back if you sell it in 12 months (as opposed to a clone, which is more likely to end up in the bin), you can see why it would be foolish to buy a clone.

I had the i9 3G (that is the model name, it's not a 3G phone), It was ok. Most of the 'Apps' were not in english. I mean it was ok, looks pretty much like the iphone but clearly not as usable. I used it for a few months and then just bit the bullet and got a second hand iphone. I would say if you are a fan of the iphone and just want to save some cash, hold off and look for one second hand. You should be able to find a 3G online 2nd hand now for fairly cheap (might be $100 more than the i9 but well worth it) seeing as the new iphone 4 is out now. If you want to hear more about the i9 PM me and ill answer any questions you might have.

    Good Luck with your decision.

I have a couple that I received randomly. They looked fantastic, and the only telling difference between them initially was that the LCD was slightly smaller. 1 of 5 didn't even turn on, and the software was like an atari game. Buy a gen 1 iphone for a couple bucks more.

I have an iPhone 3GS, and I bet you you wont even get anything a closer to original iPhone experience with the Chinese one. Better save money and buy a 3GS,the prices have already fallen.

$80 for an iPhone clone. $580 for an iPhone, second-hand.

The price difference isn't a small one. I don't like Apple enough to spend $580 on one of their phones when I can get a phone with better qualities from a brand like Palm or Nokia for half the price. The Apple tax is insane. Why pay the extra money to feel superior?

If I had $580 to waste on a phone, I'd spend half of it on a better phone than the iPhone and the rest on something important.

It doesn't sound like you want an iPhone. It sounds like you want an inferior product that will break down when you least expect it. All iPhone buyers wish they were sold for $50, but there are parts/labor/patents that the cheap clones don't have.

Spent 50$ on ebay and grab a windows mobile HTC phone. sure, it wont "look" like an iphone. functioinality wise it'll beat the cheap chinese phone 100 times over.

Hi, I think i9 or i9+++ is good phones.
And they are much cheaper, almost $100 or less.
They can support TV,Wifi and so on.
