iPhone app to easily monitor Google ranking (SERP)

Hi everyone! Sharing with you a very useful tool that I believe any SEO masters with iPhone should own. I've created it with the aim of making my life easier, so it'll definitely serve you well too.

Introducing SEO Search Ranking (on iTunes).

Add unlimited websites and keywords and monitor your keyword rankings through color-coded ranking (green for up, red for down, black for unchanged) and simple graphs.

It uses Google AJAX API which allows unlimited usage, so no fear of being blocked by Google like other screen-scraping softwares will.

Now I can easily monitor my link building efforts while on the go, especially when commuting.

I'll do that. One suggestion if you can do it on a future release, it would be nice to see the keywords for each domain listed in ranking order rather than all mixed up.

I noticed also it only goes to position 64. Is that a limitation of the API?

 

I thought about that, but I decided to go for a user-sortable list so users can sort important keywords nearer to the top. But maybe I could add it as an option.

Yup, 64 is the limitation of the API at the moment. Hopefully they'll increase it again like they did from 32 to 64.

Great. Do you happen to have plans for a related web service or something? For those unfortunate enough to be living outside the iPhone world?

 

Hmm I'm sure there are already such services that works via ur browser? This app just makes it simpler and more convenient to do so from the iPhone. No downloading of unnecessary graphics or ads. You can use it with an iTouch too, as long as there is wifi.

 

How many google pages is it able to check for? i ask you because i know google ajax api allows you to search only for about 56 results (which means 5-6 google pages)

 

Yup, it is limited by Google AJAX API, which is 64 results. That is 6+ pages. Good enough for most uses. The advantage of using the api is smaller downloads (screen-scraping apps have to download all the pages with unnecessary text and graphics), and no fear of being blocked by Google for automating. You can check as often as you want.

New v1.2 has already been out for awhile.

Changes:
- Entering domains is now easier with a new keypad layout.

- Auto-correction is now off when entering domains.

- The list of keywords now shows exactly how many ranks each keyword has risen or fallen.

- Several bug fixes
