IPB support is pissing me off

    I'll start from the beginning.

Several months ago, I registered on IPB's community forums and posted a few pre-sales questions. Last night, I took the plunge and purchased the software package. After purchasing, I decided to change the email address associated with my account. After doing this, my account is wiped. Invoices, contact info, all gone. I submitted a support ticket asking what was going on there, and went to bed (it was late).

The next morning, I check the status of the ticket. I'm greeted with this bullshit:

I reply asking what that was about, and I'd just like to download the product I purchased last night, because I was already late on my project. Here I am two hours later, and still no response. I bought the package a day ago, and I haven't heard a word from them. This is really pissing me off.

What should I do? Continue waiting? I really need to get this forum up.

PS: Starbucks Wi-Fi dropped out on me and I had to type this all again. I feel like killing a puppy.

Five hours and no response. I'll give them two days before I request a chargeback from PayPal. I'm fairly certain it's just a bug in their system, but I hate the silence. What a joke.

I'm not paying $285 for that steaming pile of code.

Who cares if they get annoyed? Your the one who should be annoyed, considering you spent quite a bit of money on their product, to only find that you've just seen it vanish within a matter of an hour. Email them as much as you can, make them reply to you!

That's the same price as IP.Board + IP.Content. Even the full vB Publishing Suite isn't really a CMS, more of an "article manager".

If I have to send these people another email, it's not going to be pretty. I'm going to sleep now, there'd better be a resolution in my inbox when I wake up. Goodnight DP.

They got back to me and told me they fixed it (with a one-line response). Not what I was hoping for, but at least I have the program now.
