ipb forums doing it offshore

i got a nulled ipb if i hosted it offshore and ipb asked me to shut it down would i after or not because it offshore and if i do after shut the site down on the offshore could i get fined or just get told to close it down and thats it just dont wanna get caught and fined

 

They will send you notices about it but cannot do anything about is as its offshore.

When they refer to "OFFSHORE Hosting" It is a word used for servers that are out of the illegal boundaries such as Amsterdam etc.

 

What i mean is that no matter what host you have or in what country your website is hosted, then you'r in a risk to get in trouble! And IPB can always do something no matter where the website is located, it's not the website's location that matters. If IPB really want's to punish you for using their board illegally, then it is your location that matters.

Some countries are just not so "into" arresting and stopping warez like other countries, take Malaysia for an example, everyone always think that they allow warez and warez linking, your wrong, they don't allow it, they just don't take it so seriously, it's not that many days since the Malaysian government shut down a big torrent website hosted with Shjinjiru.

 

so would i just get a email from them to shut it down or summat

 

well i probly host nulled untill they ask for the key then i buy one

 

Yes they will usually warn u but they don't bother if its not uk or us usually.

 

I wouldn't worry about it too much, untill the site get's LARGE or some hater reports it, you shall be fine on any so called "OFFSHORE" Host.
