IPB 2.1 vs VB 3.5

Is the new version of invision powerboard 2.1 anymore search engine friendly compared to its previous versions, I've been told and noticed myself that VB seems to get indexed more by search engines, looking at results vb is more google friendly , just wondering if IPB has made any changes..

 

IPB is as well user-friendly if used effectively.
Check the neowin.net forums for huge no. of indexed pages.

Vbulletin leads IPB though, from huge no. of forums with heavily indexed pages.

 

ive never used IPB at all and since i started using vBulletin i doubt i will ever give it a try.

dunno what (if any) seo advantages IPB has over vbulletin but from what i see vbulletin is on top, it gets indexed, ranked well and thats all i need.

 

I use both. IPB has no advantages over vB. vB, with it's new plugin system, is extremely easy to add-onto as well.. Don't waste your time with IPB...

 

I currently use IPB, because it's cheaper, and I like the interface better than vB. But, my site doesn't have PHP installed via a Apache Module, so it doesn't get the SEO that it should have. IPB has this feature called "lofiversion" which could go like this:
forums.yourdomain.com/lofiversion/index.php/t1325.htm

which seems like a HTML file to google, so it's indexed.

But, my PR6 website has 37,000 links in google; I am not sure how entirely successful that is though.
