When i signed up with ipage it was $3.5 per month so i paid 42 for the whole year.

now when the billing perioed is over they want to charge $107.

is there a way i can continue with the 3.5 per month (or any coupon) or please tell me an alternative to ipage.

    regards,
    Ravi

If I were you, I would just talk to them. Let them know that you can't afford the ~300% increase in price, and will be looking for a different host. Either they will give you a deal, or you will need to go elsewhere. But it never hurts to ask.

Move to a different provider if you do not want to pay increased fee.
I do not think there is any coupon for renewal.

Of course! They don't want to lose you as a client. Good customer service on their part, and less fees for you. It's a win-win. :) Glad you got it sorted out.

thats their way to make some extra money, letting you signup for cheap as $42 per yr and charging you for $107 as renewal.

Just avoid such new hosting companies, move to another provider.

You previously paid $42 and renewed for $54? That is much better than the $107, but did they happen to mention what the additional $12 was for?

When the time of renewal came they went back to 107.

When i asked them about the special price they had mentioned, they said that was by mistake.

    Moving my sites to hostgator...

ipage not so great unfortunately :(

Did they bill you for the $107 or did you just receive an invoice for $107?

You have made a smart decision. Carrying on with such a host is just not fair with your self. Such hosts has made this business unreliable.

Renewal price should always be the same as of first payment, unless one buy it through an offer and host have mentioned about the change of charging fee clearly at their web site.

That's how most companies work, they draw you in with this "special pricing" or deal and rip you off a few months later, or like you a year later, cancel and move on, or stick with them and pay for it, I mean even if they charged you 3x more in price it's dirt cheap, and if it's good hosting your going to pay 3x that price anywhere else, Just consider yourself getting a deal.
