IP to country free web service

    hi, I am looking for a ip to country converter web service like if i request
    testurl.com/service.php?ip=111.111.111.111 , on return i will get the country corresponding that ip. can anyone help me on this?

    maximind is an excellent choice. However depending on your usage the webservice can become cost-prohibitive in which case you can choose to download their free database and use it internally. There's an api for most languages.
