ip range block

    i am hosting proxy sites and my host blocks certain ip ranges from various countries which is decreasing my traffic by alot. i am hosted with hagio host

    how can i see what ip ranges are blocked what countries are these? because they wont tell me

    If they are blocking large IP ranges, they are most likely doing it with a firewall before it even hits your server.

    Try using an open proxy that is hosted in a country you suspect they block (Russia and China come to mind immediately) and try browsing your website. With enough of these proxy servers you should be able to get a rough idea of what they are blocking.

    On the other hand, what kind of host blocks entire countries but won't tell it's paying customers which ones it blocks ?

    Errrr your host should tell you which countries are blocked.

    Find out if there is a firewall in front of your server and if so if its a shared firewall. If its shared then quite possibly someone else has requested the blocking and its affecting your server.

    Ask your host again and if they cant tell ou, then move hosts mate.
