Hello, I was wondering if the constant changing of IP / DNS of a website, `moving hosts, changing IP's on a dedicated server.. etc..` would affect google bot in anyway? I noticed that after changing 3 hosts in a row, google stopped crawling my site for about a month.. but I didnt know whats wrong... so thats the only thing that was under the question.
In theory, Googlebot accesses your pages by URL and therefore the IP address should not matter. In practice, Google's whole information infrastructure is riddled with bugs. Almost anything can happen and the people at Google will never know it. You could file a Reconsideration Request using Google Webmaster Tools, but those normally go directly to the round file.
Thats exactly what I did, and got this as a reply: We've received a request from a site owner to reconsider the following site for inclusion in our index: h tt p:// www .darkmindz .com/ We'll review the site. If we find that it's no longer in violation of our Webmaster Guidelines, we'll reinclude the site in our index. Please allow several weeks for the reconsideration request. We do review all requests, but unfortunately we can't reply individually to each request. so apparently it was something I did / developers did that pissed google off. or it was the constant DNS change.. this is worrying me because now google is crawling my site daily, and getting back on it.. but i might need to get an IP change soon :|
its ok lol.. all I care about is, now my site back on google, googlebot crawling the site, and all good.. so DNS / IP change should NOT affect googlebot in anyway as long as domain is running? if thats the case then all good
