Welcome to DP community

 

Okay, lived in South Texas, not exactly the snow capital of the world.
So moved to Iowa when I retired, just to make my wife happy as a clam in mud.
All I wanted was SNOW, lots of SNOW!
And yep, a WHITE CHRISTMAS!

Well, got lots of snow late november and early december.
Looking good for a white christmas.
Then poof!
Damn warm weather moved in, settled into Iowa, and melted every snowflake to be seen!

And what do I get for Christmas?
Bare ground! The brown grass and mud!

So sad!!!

I lived about halfway between Houston and San Antonio on IH10...
Always have enjoyed going to San Antonio.

Now exploring the wilds of Iowa!
Quite a bit in this little state to see, and enjoy.
Especially all the wineries....damn good wine in this state!
