OK, I got the idea that cctld .io could be associated as "in - out" and .tl as "top links". Both could be associated with a directory site, couldn't they? bluewidgets.io - you come in, search for the site you want, and go out of the directory. bluewidgets.tl - bluewidgets top links. Both the .io and .tl domains are available for my subject. Of course more popular .tld-s are all taken. Which one would you take? .io or .tl? .tl seems to be a newer extension, stands for Timor Este, a country not without political turmoil. This is my main concern. What if this country simply vanishes? Will .tl domains be lost? .io is for British Indian Ocean Territory. Well, not a country with long history, either. .io costs about US$80/yr, .tl about $50/yr. Would you venture to take any of these ccltds? Or should I stick with more popular tlds?
i'd say neither, use a .com (or .net) because people probably won't remember .tl or .io , they'll put .com and you'll loose traffic
