.io and .co domains

    Hi there,

    I'm thinking of setting up a UK website based on a geographical location.

    The website name I want to use is not available as a .com or .co.uk so I'm thinking of using either a .io or a .co

    I wanted to question whether .io or .co are ok to use for such website. I know .io is Indian Ocean, but wondered if this would effect my SERP? Also, would you say .co or .io are memorable domains?

    Any advice would be great.

    .io domain is assigned to British Indian Ocean territory as a top level domain and .co domain is assigned to Colombia by Internet country code. Now decide yourself on which geographical part you belongs or nears the most.

    If your business is related to technical, then you should prefer .io
