How would I go about finding investors for my business? We are trying to get it started up and need the help from investors but anywhere we have looked just gave us a run around with it and never really gave us any information on how I would contact one. Anyone willing to help?
Find more places to promote your business ideas. If they are credible and valuable, there will be guys willing to cooperate with you. Many forums have such column for you to advertise. You can also advertise on some related websites.
With a $500k investment you should contact a lawyer. If in this U.S. not following proper procedures, you could be dinged by the SEC. Offering up investment opportunities on public medians is one of their peeves. I would recommend doing the research if your serious about your business.
why dont you post this thread offer in the partnerships section here at dp for joint ventures - dont think this is the right section for it, see: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=119 or gets mods to move it
Skid, There are 4 stages of funding - 1.) You, friends, family, small loan - Starting out 2.) Angel Funding 3.) Venture (VC) funding 4.) Public issue (stock market) funding. Each has its own funding amount range. You should see what stage you are at & approach the appropriate people (just google for any stage you are looking at.) Ishan
The whole point of this thread was looking for websites like this and information on how to find investors, not really looking for investors. Either one worked out here though...
