Baseball Card King Online dot com aka bcko dot net, I am still haggling to see if I can get bcko.com. The general concept: A buy/sell/trade platform where other people can list their cards for sale, trade cards, and talk about baseball. I plan on building a comprehensive site where others can take place in live auctions, have mystery auctions, win tickets and other misc. baseball related stuff. I have been in contact with some major companies seeing what they would think if there was a platform for baseball only. Topps, Bowman, Fleer and a few others have expressed interest in putting stuff up on auction or having an ability to buy at a discount from the website. I would like to create a user friendly up to date site where people can get real time quotes on the worth of a baseball card, memorabilia that they may own. I want to create a type of portal that if someone is interested in a card or looking for a card, they will be able to find it almost instantaneously, match them with potential buyers and sellers. I can see this being branched out to baseball, basketball, football, etc. All which will have there own platforms. How will it make money? Ads, business promotional, auctions ending, a percentage of the auction will be kicked back to BCKO dot net, sales from cards that we pick up here and there. Why am I looking for investors? In order to get started, I plan on buying a collection to jumpstart it, so that I can offer something to start it with. Since the baseball season is less than a month away, I see this shooting off with the right promotional tools. I’ll be able to offer the mystery auctions, offer the baseballs, memorabilia, etc. I believe that once people see that we are giving the farm away with valuable cards as the mystery auctions. The collection has 70k cards and about 78% of them are valuable cards. The collection itself has been auctioned off at $5,050.00. I originally had a business partner who had planned on buying the collection so that we can go ahead the project, but they are not available at this time. I am able to get website development done myself. I also plan on getting this optimized to the best of the best with keywords that I have already targeted that have little to no competition.
