This sounds like a good idea, I'm also working in the process of an "underground music scene" site. What genre is yours about? The indie rock scene? Do you want to partner up?
This is a very hard thing to do with soundclick, garage band, myspace, and so on. I see these popping up all the time and since the music industry is over saturated with artists it can be a good money maker just need to give them something the other sites aren't giving them.
I agree with William, the only way you will attract an investor is to show them how your website will make money. Having a website idea is one thing, actually making it profitable is another.
This website will be about music that's also only underground scene.The main target of this website is to launch videos and programmes in media i.e through live telecast of television through internet.Every bands will be free to register themselves and upload their mp3 or video.They will get their subdomain.As well we will organize concerts for them (not for all only selected bands). Yes,it is true that it costs more but we can make a lot of profit and visitors also love to watch videos of underground bands.We will make money through google adsense or adbrite depends on discussion between us and as well through the programs.But I have confident that we can market the website hugely and get a lot of profit. And this work can't be done easily.I can't describe this website here openly.We can be a team and make this website.
