Investments and Funding

Hello Everybody,

I have been trying to get some more investment/start up funding for a brand new website that I am wanting to set up. I have a name, banners, and a template design, but I need some more funding.

I have asked around in the business section here at digitalpoint, but I have had hardly any answers!

Is anyone able to help me, maybe show me a thread where they are offering start up funding?

If you could point me in the right direction that would be brilliant

I believe you should specify how much funding you need and then prepare a presentation for potential investors that you know actually have the money and could help you.

 

I would assume you would need less then $10,000 if so you may want to ask your friends, parents, family to invest in your site.

 

So what do you actually need the funding for? Just setting up your own site shouldn't cost that much... all we had was domain rego and hosting- plus ongoing internet cost, but we'd have that anyway. Do you need to hire people to do work you don't know how to do? If so, maybe you can exchange services with people, or pay by other than monetary means. Or learn to do things yourself?

Thank you for the replies.

We are looking for an investment of $850

The money would be used to design and code the website, purchase a LP license, buy a server from softlayer and also for advertising. Unfortunately family and friends are not an option because I would like this to be a business deal, and for it not to mix business and family!
