Investing a hosting business, anyone? (New Dedicated Server)

Hey, well, basically, I have my own web hosting business all setup and ready to go, I already have a decent amount of clients. But, I was wondering if anyone would like to help me invest in a new dedicated server. The server I am on at the moment, isn't that reliable, so I would like to invest in a new dedicated server.

One thing we will need to do, is do a lot of research on dedicated servers and see who is reliable and who isn't and also where we can find the best deal. So a lot of thought will need to go into this. Basically, when we have made enough money for the server to basically pay for itself, we will agree to split profits 50/50.

I am asking someone to help me, because I'm not making that much income to actually pay for a new dedicated server on its own. So I am asking someone to help me pay for the server. At the moment, I am able to pay $25/monthly towards the server (I know its a small amount of money, but at least I'm not asking for someone else to pay for all of it).

If you are interested in helping me invest in a new dedicated server, please do PM me, and also you will need to have MSN so we can keep in contact a lot easier.

    Thanks,
    Adam.

    Hello adam.

Just a little advice, you can get very low end virtual severs for 25-40 a month. You might want to look into that instead of taking on a partner.

Hosting is a tough business to break into, hard to get and retain clients, also when something goes wrong they expect to talk to someone right away.

Are you sure that the volumes you are looking at are going to be worth the time invested?

Lots of other opportunities wait on the web, maybe take some time and explore them first.

    Best of luck,

    James

yes, but my clients have quite a high demand in hosting at the moment so I am wanting to upgrade to a new dedicated server.

But I suppose I could get a decent VPS, but it's just finding the right host to find one from. I want cheap, reliable and services that won't let me down.

How long do you think it would take you to start making some form of profit on this??

Are you wanting to go in partnership with the person or just want the money or does the other person have to put in some work??

I pay $320 per month for 2 dedicated servers. I can give you the full specs of these servers, if you PM me.

I wouldn't mind hosting those clients (a joint venture kind of thing), even though $25 is a bit low, but if these clients of yours can repay for at least half (including your money), then that would be as good! Just PM me and I'll give you the details! Plus this server of mine isn't being used, as of yet and it's got all the latest stuff installed.

    Overview:

WHM 11/cPanel 11 w/ Fantastico w/ Installatron (more things for your clients to play around with)
    Roundcube and other mail managers
12 Free IP addresses (We can set you up some unique IP nameservers)
    160GB Space
    2000GB of Bandwidth
    Dual Core Pentium D 915
    PM me for more details!
