Investigation by paypal opened for 1 k payment ?

I dont know why this happened to me as of Investigation by paypal opened for mine 1 k payment send from the buyer cause i already provided him his work which was of designing e-shop online website and now paypal is harassing me putting mine funds on hold ...

just suggest me how can i remove that hold now ...

 

ask the buyer to help u out and send the paypal an email that u had done work for him and he has provided u with the payment

 

Never allow people to send payments this large, it'll look malicious in the eyes of paypal and it can be reverted.
I advise you call paypal and tell them why this payment was made and make additonal statements about why this user should not be refunded with your money.

 

Not much you can do than to wait for the investigation to close and be helpful to any questions they might have. Paypal will almost always flag accounts for their first $1000 transaction, especially if the account owner is from any of the more scammy countries.

 

Contact the customer care first.

Bye the way, even being from India I hadn't encounter such issues for 1K or 1K+ money before 1st March.

Have a look whether your payment is under dispute or not. May be the buyer lodged a dispute.

 

I hope your buyer is honest enough to verify the funds are legit; If not the buyer can claim fraud, and your money is good as gone.
As fraud is all over the internet, then I do not blame them for holding the $1000, as they are probably holding the money for
x amount of days, as any common sense person would report their hacked paypal right away anyway, so they have good reason
to hold funds that high until they feel the funds are safe to release. They are attempting to limit their damages by placing a hold.

 

did paypal do it by itself coz of it bieng a high amount or did the buyer make a dispute

 

I would bet if the buyer did file a dispute then he has lost the money and paypal has it on hold as
they pretend to do their investigation. I have had small funds placed on hold before, but they really
were not on hold, the funds was just being taken back by paypal because of buyer dispute.

 

If it is mentioned as "Inquiry By Paypal" on that transaction, then simple ask your buyer to contact paypal (via phone is best) or via email, and let them know that he himself has send this payment and is satisfied with the service you provided and does not need any refund, once paypal gets his (the buyer's) statement, they will release the amount held.

Inquiry by paypal is usually held in 2 cases:

1) The amount is high..as in your case, its sufficiently high.
2) If the buyer's account gets limited.

If its the first case, and the buyer is honest to give honest statements to paypal about the transaction, then you will easily get your money

But, if its the second case, then it might be possible that the buyer's a/c was hacked by someone to send you the payment, OR the buyer's account has received any suspicious payment from somebody, which he forwarded to you. In this scenario, its very unlikely for you to get the money back!

 

till now mine amount is in paypal hands and its on hold i have submitted paypal some details about mine work which i provided buyer and i have never got any claim or refund case till now ...

 

Do give PayPal details about the Work done, your mail interaction between you & your client. Your problem will be solved.

I happen to know a lot of people having this problem ..I think paypal was a bit alarm for the amount being sent to your paypal account . You can either resolve the said limitation by providing facts, screenshots or anything than can prove that the amount comes for legit business and next time you should asked clients to send it either western union or bank if its big amount

 

till now more than 5 days passed and i submitted mine scan mail and proofs of mine work sent to buyer for paypal and no response till now mine payment is on hold .... really angry

 

If you don't call Paypal, your angry days won't be over.
