Investigate this: What causes this kind of jump in traffic?

    Does anyone have any ideas?

Looking at the Alexa graph...What's more likely:

    - They have placed an ad on a social network or have gotten a mention on some high traffic site
    - They have a paid ad somewhere
    - Something else...

I've been keeping on eye on this site and it just exploded. Last I checked (assuming it's correct) they had almost 4,000 users connected at the same time; that's huge! They're on shared hosting too...I'm a little surprised they aren't having connectivity problems from some sort of overload.

Kudos to the one that can find the answer to the puzzle... I tried looking through Hi5 for some sort of ad linking back to their site but found nothing. Any ideas?

Excuse my *random* guess, but the title and logo says "hi5.name", with "comentarios para hi5".

Maybe they developed a Hi5 social network commenter that spammed all of the Hi5.com user profiles, thus skyrocketing the visitors? Maybe they cheated?

Top 500 sites in the world would take more than a mention on a bigger site though, unless they were cheating alexa.

    EDIT:
Their Hi5 profile only has 36,000 views:
