Perhaps the trick is to find a fringe businesses that you can make work where the competition is lower, either that or a complete new idea but are there many of those !

This is a great point, stay away from the big, lucrative markets that sound so appealing. I know thats hard to do because the allure of the money is there, but the competition is fierce, at best. Most small time IM'ers like ourselves go after the obscure niches in adwords, like "how to build a chicken coop", or "how to improve your cheerleading skills in 8 easy ways". The point im trying to make is, with big revenue comes big spending, so the profit is not as attractive as the gurus tell you it is.

I do not really do ppc on the search network but i am glad to hear of your success. I dabble in the content networks. I use it to collect leads which i then sell a clickbank product or my product in my email series. It is much cheaper and you get to ride on the high gravity products. These products convert well. I noticed that if you sell through email marketing, people are less likely to purchase from other affiliate links.

 

I'm glad you have made your revenue through Adwords. I'm a newbie in ppc, and I'm trying to find my way on it Till now, I have earned as much I have invested (just a small profit), but I still trying to find something that will work good for me

 

I have been separately tracking leads coming in from the search and the content network..the way i do it simply is having a link like this http://www.domain.com/landingpage.php?source=CONNET (for Content Network) or source=Adwords...i see that i get very many good inquiries from the content network

They sell you on the dreams and the emotions that trigger you to buy, but omitted the hard work like what you did to accomplished this task.

We have to treat our business on the internet like an offline brick and mortar store.
Create a business plan and do your due diligence and research which will put you 98% ahead of the get rich quick crowd.
