e10, you have a valid point, english is probably not his first language, and he may not have much forum ettiqute. I'm sure if he quoted the text of the post he was replying to, they would make a lot more sense. But they way it looks now is as though he is making random statements that have already been covered in a post.
Agreed, cliqs that gang up on folks are bad things IMO. I'm surprised folks have time to waste worrying about a stranger. There is an ignore button and there's always what momma said..."If ya aint got nothing nice to say, don't say nuttin'". I say spammers and cheats are still fair game. But let's not have grammer school task popularity contests over a language barrier. Regards
And whoever gave me the red rep and this assinine comment - You are a new kid on the block. Watch for awhile. - can stick your threats where the sun don´t shine.
Okay, here is another one: red rep and comment: You are as pathetic as that moron. Guess it´s the same coward that didn´t leave his name the first time. Okay, you joker, let me put it this way... if you don´t have the balls to put your name on your dumb comments, I don´t give a monkey´s how many red reps you give me. I might be a newcomer as far as posting is concerned but I have been lurking for a long time and I know whose opinion I respect. I´d bet my bottom dollar that if you were one of them you would back your silly statements with your name and some costructive advice. Get a life. That is the last word from me on red reps so feel free to pile them on. You´ll not get any reaction, buster.
I don't think anyone has problems with people who don't have English as a first language. What was 'wrong' with "Inverse" was the rapidity of the posts, most of which were along the lines of "That's great", and the sudden stop when the number of posts reached 50, the minimum number required to add your Publisher ID to the Adsense scheme run here at DP. I witnessed the posts going up. A systematic run through of the forums with a "that's great" type post added. Simple spam.
A lot of members here have blogs and get hit with short, senseless comments like "good idea", "great blog" and "hello there" in order for them to get spidered better. If we come off a little on the edge, it is because it is our jobs to protect ourselves from stuff like this.
I am heading away from popular opinion on this one.. 1. Inverse Is An Idiot - because anyone here can actually tell ? 2. - He Needs To Go Away - How about he needs to learn ? I saw quite a few of his posts..and YES my personal opinion, that 2nd language or not the posts were poor. I think it would have been far more constructive to teach 'inverse' and create another productive member.. I would have thought the experienced members would have set a better example I first went online sometime around 97 or something.. I had never joined a forum anywhere until a couple of months ago (this one). Even though I was using the tracker since not long after it was built. The reasons I never signed up was because of this kind of reason. I have noticed many members getting harsher and harsher.. think Adsense, rep bashing etc.. The ONLY reason I signed up rather than just kept reading was the good + helpful attitude of the main players here. So those that have got stuck in the rookie bashing (which is probably the case here - someone read - get links and went to get links). Its a learning curve and I'm sure many people here have made the same kinds of mistakes at some point..
Some people are not here to learn though and you can't make them. They want to jump on a band wagon, benefit for a minute and then jump off. I have seen people get treated in a negative way, new comers, but when they stuck around and have shown some incentive, things changed quickly including the attitudes towards them. I have seen no desire from inverse to communicate, his posts were self serving and reminded me of blog spam which I see every single day. Yes, I have given him a red one and believe it was more than justified. If AC went from -80 to green, then I am sure there will be a second chance for him as well, but I don't see any desire from him to make any friends or grow in his seo knowledge other than get something quick and then get the heck out, which happens to be the mind set of so many out there. Adsense Shmadsense whatever, people here protect their environment. Many of us have been around for years and had to deal with spam tactics from day one. I firmly believe that it is a good thing to show newbies right away that certain things don't fly. If he is willing to start over, I believe in second chances, but if there is no desire, I am not going to beg him to make 50 more posts like the ones he did
dunno. I got one too: da cup da more pa kus ke omanda I think it's May the force be with you. Will let you know other wise.
yeh ... don't talk about curses, I just watched "The Mummy" Infiniterb - you must be secretely targetting some high profile key terms
..and someone just gave me a red one. Geesh .. the curse is kicking in. Don't worry, I'll find out who it was!
