Recently I receive a mail regarding a complaint of invalid whois information. And I reply to their mail, after a while telling that all that infos are correct. But they denied it, and I went thru my GoDaddy Account to update it, I have notice that there's one thing wrong that I have seen, the Tel. No. have an affix of a country code that makes it redundant, a typo error. After that update I replied to their mail that I have updated the information. Now after a while, I receive again a mail telling that the information is invalid. Now anyone can suggest if what will be my next move? What information should I give? I have give my full recent address, mobile number and name. What more they want? Any inputs here. ASAP.
Be sure to keep your domain contact details always updated with GD or they may block your domains to comply to ICANN's requirements.
The first question is - who sent the message? If it's from GD or ICANN, then you need to check further; otherwise, it may be a spammer trying to see if the email is being read... Use an external whois checker like allwhois.com or www.who.is to see your domain whois info; GD has the habit of messing up this. If you don't see any errors, and it isn't from GD or ICANN, relax.
Hello guys, The email sender is GD and Domain Services <invalidwhois[at]secureserver[dot]net>. Anyone got an idea why they keep on sending an email telling that my information is invalid even if I have updated it. Sad to know, that GD charge me with $9.95 for the administrative charge.
Don't worry about it tonsblogger, if you feel the information is up to date then you have nothing to worry about. The site that keeps emailing you about invalid whois is just some random site that can do nothing but report you like a regular person can about bad whois information. There not a official representive of icann nor your registar. So there is nothing to worry about at all, if icann had a problem with it or anyone else, first they would check the whois information themselves and if they couldn't get in contact with you then the first person to email you about the issue would be your registar asking you to change it to the correct info and even then you would have a pretty good amount of days to do so.
contact if you call them this issue will be fixed very fast. i had same situation they are not playing with you.
I have ask GD but twice they reply they can do nothing with that and just telling to communicate with invalidwhois[at]secureserver[dot]net.
After all, Domain Services mailed me that telling me: "Thank you for updating your records. Please remember to keep them updated at all times in the future. Regards, Domain Services" After 2 weeks of updating my information, my last update is I change my email from Gmail to my Yahoo mail account. I really got worried for my domain (Latest Technology News --PR4) since I really work it out. Thanks for all the inputs you have given me.
