Invalid Security Certificate for Cpanel Login

When I try to login to my host's cpanel, my browser displays the warning message "Invalid security certificate". I know you can bypass this and create an exemption. It is an https login link. The host is a large host and when I have asked them about this security warning, they tell me to not worry about it and just bypass and create and exemption for it. Is this safe to do?

This is likely because they are signing their own ssl cert. Its fine, don't worry about it.

It's because SSL by default uses port 443, but cPanel by default uses port 2082.

As long as you know what you are logging into, it's not a problem and is in fact secure.
