So this guy Scottfish bid on an auction for a domain name that I had posted here:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=142213

He thinks I was selling truechristian.com, which is clearly not the case as anyone can tell after reading the thread. It is written in plain english that the domain name being sold is GODSOWNWEBSITE.COM

Now not only has he not paid up for the domain, he's left a negative itrader rating for me. I've reported the rating. Moderators: Please delete the itrader rating.

it won't happen, so stop wasting your time

also i read the thread, it is obvious that scottfish is not bidding godsownwebsite....he is confused..if that is my auction i will consider his bid is not valid anymore

or you should have at least asked him if he is still bidding as he clearly misread the post. :)

It is Scottfish who is confused. Not the buyers fault.

Its itrader abuse. I am with OP here on the itrader issue.
Do not agree with this though

Confused? So if someone bids without reading the title of the thread and the post itself properly, & leaves negative itrader rating, they get away with it?

Anyway, looks like it has been resolved. Thanks:)

I don't think so, as I believe it was the moderators who nullified the rating.

exe - if you had pmed me and we talked about this I would have paid the small amount. Your starting bid was $10 and I bid $25 (higher amount) - Obviously, If I didnt think people would bid up the price on the website I thought I was getting, I wouldnt have bid a higher price.

I do a lot of traveling and sometimes bid on things that end while I am gone for a few days, but in this case, you simply acted too soon by putting up neg feedback. I spent $385 last night in transactions on DP, so if we had worked this out, I think we could have found a solution.

Scottfish, I did PM you & you responded with a nonsensical rhetoric telling me to give you "login details for truechristian.com", to which I responded and explained to you exactly what you were bidding on and emphasizing domain name, and you responded again telling me

And I'll remind you that you were NOT bidding on a website but a DOMAIN NAME.

Your inane and deliberately repetitive statements that the auction was for truechristian.com warranted the negative rating I left you.

You left a negetive feedback and made it a bad trade..Thus Scott had all the rights to leave his part of iTrader..

You marked him and he marked you.. Lets get over it and move on..

Ha, so you're saying that it's okay to leave purely retaliatory itrader ratings based on nothing?

    Well not on nothing..
But if there was no trade as you claim, you should have not leave the trader rating either..

So all non-paying bidders who don't "trade" shouldn't be left any itrader ratings?

    Right...

    No, not at all.

but scott's claim is not at all baseless.
If someone looks at your post he can get confused because you nowhere mentioned the domain, which was on the auction. you only mentioned the site TrueChristian.com
You should have at least once mentioned the name of the domain you were auctioning in your post (I know you mentioned it in the title...)
That would have been left absolutely no place for any kind of confusion at the very first place...

Anyway I think you are right because scott didnt retract the bid even after he was told that The domain on auction was godsownsite.com.
So good luck with getting that itrader removed (Which I doubt mods will do..)

The negative itrader he left for me has been discounted, allthough the comment he left is indeed visible.

EXE - There is a big difference between "fraud" and "not paying because a product being sold is confusing" . You mentioned at the end of the thread selling your domain "Beware. Fraud." - I don't see where I was fraudulent.

Threads like this dont go anywhere and I really have more sites to build as i have just bought 45,000 words of content from other various DP members.

If you are eager to sell your site, I'll send you your advertised price of $10 and lets move on.
    Thanks.
