there are a bunch of threads of "i got 5 clicks and made $.01",but why does it happen? the other day i got 16 click on an image ad.i believe it was one person and it could be on the same ad and yeah i made one cent.i think it is unlikely that someone felt like clicking on the same ad 16 times. i use other networks and i have never see it happen.it just happens on google. you could say the other networks don't count clicks from the same ip address,but why does google?
Maybe to make it look like CTR is higher on their network? But seriously, its a choice they made, I doubt anyone besides the person that made that choice knows the answer, if there is a real reason behind it in the first place. I can't tell where your invalid clicks came from, but when i first started with Adsense i was clicking my own ads like crazy the first day (shame on me). I believe i made about 30 clicks that day and only earned a few cents. So repeated ad clicks from the same IP can definitely count as invalid clicks. I'm still happy they didn't ban me on my first day .
