Hi everybody. I've been aware of this site for ages, but noticing a site I might want to buy made me finally de-lurk and register.

I started off in magazines during the desktop publishing explosion, had my first semi-serious site in 1997, although I'd dabbled with the BBS thing and had a site other folks put together for me as early as 1994. I still occasionally package content for print publications, but mostly I work online.

I love the immediacy of the web. Write something or photograph something or video something and you can have it online and getting user feedback the same day. I also really love how fast you get paid for your work on the internet. Back when it was all magazines, the big checks came in a few months after the next issue came out, which effectively meant around nine months lead time on getting paid for work done. I think six weeks is about the longest web income tends to take.

Uhm, not really sure what else to write.

Most of my sites are in various pop culture entertainment niches, some "mainstream" and some "adult".

    I enjoy iced soy lattes.
