Really hope you can get alertpay, i need to move from paypal with haste. I wish to stay with oron since uploading unique content to filesonic or other hosts just make it remote leeched and spread over the net in 2 seconds :/ At least my unique stuff stays at oron and at my account

Well, I'm using Oron since 3 months now and I think that I can give a review.
First of all, it isn't so easy to sell premiums because a lot of users are getting pissed off cause of that ridiculous 15 GB download limit. Everytime I post a new thread, half of the comments are insults because I'm using oron instead of depositfiles / filesonic / uploading etc. I have been banned from one forum too because users started bitching about oron being the worst filehoster they have ever seen.
On the other hand, it doesn't have any meaning to post in a forum where there are other 300 users using oron.
Anyway I can't say that it's a total fail, in fact I'm earning right now around 50 $ per day, but with another filehoster, some time ago, I was making even 150 or more.
Don't be upset on me but it's hard to believe about the genuinity of that screenshot showing those incredible earnings.
From the downloads column it's clear that more than half of the downloads are made by users that already got a premium, so it's kinda funny how that user can still have so many new referrals every day.

 

Exactly my feeling about the picture. There's certainly something here we are NOT being told. 1300 free user downloads on your files WILL NOT get you 30+ referrals. Not realistic. I NEVER got a referral without a sale.

It's not impossible to get 1500 free user downloads with 4 threads updated twice a day. The catch is: posting on a WHOLE LOT OF FORUMS -> some people post on 20 and more, post in sections that are not flooded, make your posts look nice and divide the 2 daily updates by at least 8 hours (or 10).
Anyone can end up showing a 3000 downloads per day picture, what they won't tell you is that most of their sales (75% +) STILL come from the biggest sites out there or some specific sections of some sites. "Everybody around you using oron" isn't a problem at all, if anything, it motivates people to buy premium since "everybody is using so should I".
I've experienced over months that some sites give you ONLY downloads and that's what they'll ever do. It's better to check what works and where rather then spend your days LOSING TIME giving freebies for nothing. I'll rather use PPD file-hosts for some places.

 

Remote upload from my uploaded.to account doesn't work i get a "Error: Received HTML page instead of file" message.
I have a premium uploaded.to account and put in the prefix as suggested.

 

although i think i agree (the most referral i had in a day is 10), the blog that he runs might have suggestions that if free users register to oron, they will have a little faster DL speed or something to that effect... check at date 3/4.. he has 33 referrals and he earned $131 only... if all 33 referrals were for sales of only $5 that would make around $165 so i guess some were for free registration with his links.... just my two cents...

 

Well, I'm having around 3,000 downloads per day, and half of them are from free users.
Note that I post big files only (300 MB - 1 GB) that I split in 3 parts.
I never had a new referral without a sale, while I had several sales without referrals.
What Oron should absolutely remove is that 15GB download limit within 3 days, because actually this is the thing that is preventing many users from buying a premium.
Let's say that I have several megathreads with several 500MB files: people simply doesn't accept to buy a premium, download 30 files and then wait 3 days before being able to download again.
In fact I think that Oron is the only filehoster having such limitations.
As for the user submitting that screenshot, as long as he isn't posting something highly illegal that I won't mention here it's pretty impossible to have such earnings.
My downloads/sales ratio is around 1 sale / 500 downloads and note that I'm posting in a couple of forums where I'm the only one using oron right now.

 

Getting a Premium sale sure is the easiest way to earn referrals, but it is not the "only" way.

The user that FriendlyKnight gave as an example probably runs his own site, and is using a very effective technique of making sure his site viewers registers an account under his link. I think I do know how it may work, but that's only possible if your site gets alot of traffic, which in my case, isn't.

Still looking forward to the explanation for that said example.

The key is the own blog - and that is very easy to establish.

 

You are on the right track.

 

it's not for legal or illegal content that drive one of high earnings. it's the quality of traffic. if your ratio is 1:500 ... it's high time to look for new traffic as this ratio will drive you nuts to reach 100$ a day goal !
as they say, Oron is designed for long term income and not just a one-time big buck affair. build up momemtum and spread to different niches (if you can) then you will be handsomely rewarded!
take it from me ... im making 4-5k a month here.

You guys are doing great, unlike me.. I only average about 150 downloads per day, I'm lucky to even get a single sale from those downloads.

22 days . . . not like to others they can make $300 for just two days or 1 day . .

 

This is a "highly intelligent" answer that i got when i send message to AlerPay asking when they gonna fix the problem and finally start to work with Oron.

Second - Is they some big forum or blog when i can go and start talk sh*t about AlertPay (how they are incomptent and lasy) so they can finally move they asses and fix the damn problem!
