when does a user become inactive???
Not logging in for 30 days?
Not sharing files? How does Oron EXACTLY determine that someone is "not sharing files anymore" or "not being active anymore"??

What if I did post new files everyday and people just weren't downloading the newly uploaded/shared ones, but instead only the old ones for 30 days? Is not that I "wouldn't be active", right?

I don't wanna become inactive - therefore - I need to know this.

Please add this VERY IMPORTANT update to the main Oron site - either in the FAQ or somewhere else (hopefully for the joining user - a very noticeable location).

I don't really understand why is someone's "amount of space used" treated as a problem which is supposed to be solved by terminating his rebills?? How is this problem / solution connected again? Shouldn't his files get deleted to solve the amount of space problem? Although this is already being done automatically.

FriendlyKnight you thing you're that smart to fool all of us? Premium members: You can't touch/delete their files, although you're doing that.

Non premium members, you can delete their file due to inactivity or files older than 30 days.

WHY THE F@CK you're suspending re-bills?? What re-bills and renewals got to do with space? Do you thing that we're morons?

No hard feelings FriendlyKnight, you're not even oron's support, as you can't even see the stats.

Oron, don't lie to us, instead of that pay someone to give us support like Filesonic (Hish) and Wupload (Willy). Staff who can look into affiliates/members account and give proper support.

 

In my opinion it is a good pressure to keep uploaders work hard , imagine that everyone becomes pleased with 10 rebills daily (which is possible with a serious work for 3-4 months) and stop sharing , what happens ? Less oron links , less sales , canceled recurring accounts by users. Which is bad for oron for everyone else.. On the other hand oron really has to identify what they mean by "inactive" so that we know what to do or something ... Regards, pinkside

By what measure is endless and never-ending working and grabbing for money is supposed to be 'normal'? Do you think all of us are somehow "endlessly greedy by nature"? Why are not people allowed to work with their own money making pace and decide on their own what is enough for them? This is enslavement, not working. Oron is throwing it's own user's work back to the Hotfile's age - irrelevant to the "more money gained" in between on this site. Just look were is Hotfile now and how much is promoted. What did the people choose - enforced work or their own working pace.

Making such moves in their business IS "what is bad for Oron". EXACTLY because of this LESS and LESS people are gonna choose to work for them and many more are going to look for alternatives to switch to. Just imagine promoting the site with the "inactivity issue" when people are deciding whether to join or not.

Let me start with your last comment:

1) ORON is a fair partner and will never do anything that is not in favor of its partners.
The renewal / rebill share is granted to those webmasters who selected this earning option.
Not a single active webmaster will be affected.
2) And in the very rare occasion that your account was inactive for a very long period of time then please be assured that one mail to will re-install the rebill option instantly. No active webmaster can - and will -
see any rebill / renewal stop. There is nothing to worry about.

And some personal words: out of millions of accounts less than 30 inactive accounts are affected!
Read those numbers, please.

Re-bills and renewals have nothing to do with space directly. I think I made my point clear. Unlike other filehosters ORON does grant re-bills and renewals to its partners.

Your download count is too small. You need at least to triple your download count order to start selling, or to provide stuff that is "collector's only". I don't think there's an error, but you can always check.

Change your time of posting and try to post from 4 pm GMT up further and try to hit traffic hits on forums (When it's daytime and evening in USA)

for various reasons it is mathematically impossible to predict when or even where you make a sale. But you should work with these numbers:

- You can await a sale every 200 free downloads
- You can await a renewal / rebill every 200 premium downloads.

Now this is only a very raw empirical formula. We have many webmasters where a sale is generated earlier or much later. But what you can see is that your total downloads numbers statistically enhance the probability to sell!

And this is only logical: the more potential customers you reach the bigger the chance is that you sell! Think as if you run a store in a mall: if you have a small store almost nobody sees with 100 visitors a day you can not expect to have the same sells as the large "best buy" just across the entrance with 10,000 customers per day.

What I could see in the past months were numberless partners running only one thread at 4 or 5 boards. You can not expect to make 100$ a day with 100 or 200 downloads.

You can expect to make 200$ a day with 2000 downloads though. But also here the "mall" example is in effect: if you want the people to buy your stuff you should have a large variety of products at superior quality, especially compared to those nasty 0,99$ stores just across the street with the large letters F and S in front - if you get my little picture here...
