with over a month here, i have no problem with oron so far except last week when my account was hacked and taken control my earning and requested payout. oron-support was quick to respond and return back my account and money.

their system was 99% running... never experienced downtime so all my links were running smoothly 24/7.

i have some files deleted due to DMCA .. never experienced any of my files deleted for no reason.

 

cluvse23 - I have big movies there which were removed from HF loads of times yet still live at oron
but ive just noticed that ive not been getting sales recently :s but meh.

I Started to upload oron for almost 12days and the return is not bad. I already have a full time job and dont have much time except weekends and 2/3 hours at weekdays.

in fairness I mirror my files at hotfile and fileserve.

 

yup.. if you want to sell premiums, don't mirror links... now if you are on a pay per download on all hosts... you have to mirror so that downloaders would have an option if they cannot download on one of the hosts... i am on a pay per sale on oron so its just oron link.... but on HF and fserve, its per download so i mirror HF and fserve....

 

my sales are really bad since 10 days back, before that i was making atleast 2-4 a day. i have no clue what happened but it pisses me off...

what do you mean about mirror links? if i copy my own files and someone uses a copied file to bbuy premium wont i get paid lol?

 

To share the same file with different file hosts (oron/filesonic/fileserve). It is good for Pay per download but not so good with Pay per sale.

first off, if you are on a pay per download you will not get paid if somebody buys premium off your liks...

now, by mirror, i meant that you use different hosts (HF, Oron, Fsonic or others) with one particular file, so downloaders can choose which host they want...
this is good if you are on PPD scheme... but if you are on PPS, if you provide alternative links from other hosts, your chances of selling premium lessens because downloaders can use other hosts....

Ok. dduck - you need to PM me your contact info and we will look at your account together, I will have our tech guys take a look at it as well.

We have a lot of customers guys, A LOT and we get the random language complaint about once a week, and even here on digital point there are like two people reporting it. so it is not a global issue. It's just not.

As I said before we might grant a free Premium account during a promo but we can't go around handing everybody who uploads files free premiums. I understand your frustration on the personal level, I was feeling the same way back when I was a kid in my first construction job and I had to spend my first paycheck to buy tools and boots and a hardhat, but that's just how life is. You have to spend money if you want to earn money.

Files could also have gotten removed due to a server mishap, that happened once or twice to a few webmasters, again this is not a global issue.

Right now the best way to contact us and get an actual response is through email. When we put agents on live support for webmasters we will let you guys know. I'm here to support this thread.

Also, one more thing. Do not ask for my help with Forumophilia. It is true that I'm one of the mods there but I only help there if there is an emergency or no one else is there. Direct all your questions to forum admin.

please comment on the limit for premium users pegged at 15G in three days... we believe that there should be a limit but 15G right now is too low and that is one of the reasons we are seeing would be premium buyers are shying away from buying premium accounts... in some threads in some forums, this is the only concern that people are complaining about and as more and more people read these threads they start to shy away from oron... thanks...

after reading many thread slike this i really hope oron will get their game together and up the download limit for premium users...

I mean its easy tom ake 1 sale, but its almost IMPOSSIBLE to make another sale to the same person again cause of the limit.

It is clear that oron does not mention the limit on the sales page, only on the FAQ page which leads me to belive you could possible sue them for it?

Oron, i don't know why you have such a hard limit, but looking at your competition which has no limits at all, you might wanna consider atleast lifting the limit to 10-15gb/a day.

You must understand that 4gb is easily downloaded by anyone in a matter of hours in the year 2010, also with hd content they can barely download a sinlge movie without having to buy more then one premium, which isn't gonna happen.

I promise you oron, youll see more money if you increase (or even remove) this limit, more people will keep on buying accounts and using your service.

 

Also Planetsuzy will not allow only oron links which will be applied very soon. One mod told me so.

ORON's download limit is carefully balanced to provide good experience for users (150 GB per month is way more than RS offers for example) and to maximize YOUR earnings whether you realize it or not. We are constantly monitoring what our users have to say about it and just recently the limit was raised from 12GB to 15GB. Also, we're always working with users individually and when they ask for it we reset their limit early to help them finish downloading or correct a mistake. To my knowledge ORON is the only FS Service that not only responds to user's emails at all but actually does that in a timely fashion. You'd also be surprised to know that we get a lot more complaints about our DL limit from webmasters who practically don't need it at all than our regular users. In the future, when we see that 15GB is not enough we sure will raise it.
So, concentrate on sending more traffic and earning more money. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.

But I need to ask you something. Can you make users to have 2 different passwords. One for the main account and other for the FTP. That way we could upload from different sources without problems with account hackers.

Some other host use this method (uploading.com, hotfile, etc) it's something very usefull.

 

What is this talk about hackers? Is it a real threat or just people who have had their machines hacked (not oron that is) which isn't a problem for me, im very secure here, but i really hope oron is to

Also, the word about oron you tell me isn't correct, i have been banned from boards simply for using oron (even though it wasn't a banned host) and been called "cashwhore" lol. People really don't like your service, i love it however, i mean i don't need to download so i don't get any of the downsides, but then again i could understand a user who buys premium thinking he can now leech my entire site, only to after 30 minutes of leeching getting "You've maximized your bandwidth".

I think the real issue here is that this always comes as a surprise for the user, you don't mention these limits on the page where you sell the premium accounts, you do only mention them on the FAQ page. This means the user will read the page where he buys premium... not read anything about the limits, buy a account, and then eventually feel scammed when he discovers there is a limit.

Now this might be both good and bad, users who don't see the limit might buy just cause they didn't know about the limit, however this gives oron a bad reputation as a scam service and people will talk to each other. I think mentioning the limit on the premium page is the right way to go, if people think about it 5gb/day is pretty good, so if you mention it maybe it gets better.

I personally think 5gb/day is to low still even though you have done your "Deep research" i'm pretty sure you have these limits for other reasons, cause a higher limit would benefit the sales, but maybe your bandwidth costs/budgets are not yet up to par to deal with the higher limit, what do i know.
