Introducing myself

Hi there, I am a 26 year old mother of one very active little 3 year old who lives in Sydney. I love being active outdoors, reading, and would wither and die without my music lol. I used to dabble in internet marketing before, and need to reaquaint myself with the methods of internet marketing for my new job with Paris Hairdressing in Liverpool.
The owner is opening a new location in Miranda and looking to open more locations, and I need to advertise for job openings, the new location as well as increasing searchability and increasing traffic for the site.
So far my plan of attack is going through search engine directories to see where we are not listed and creating profiles with those search engines, I'm going to join hairdressing forums, create a blog and write reviews and press releases and post them to as many online sources as possible.
If any of you more experienced marketers can think of anything to add, I'd be very appreciative, but for now I intend to soak up as much information as I can off this invaluable site. Hoping business is treating you all well, see you around the site
