Hi, I'm from the Netherlands, 27 years old (yes.. that's old). I have made some websites before but I consider myself a newbie I made a homepage for my babygirl (with my girlfriend) check it out --> http://www.yalisa.nl It amazes me that if you search for "yalisa" on yahoo it comes out as the first result (but in google i don't see it yet hehe). I'm hoping to be able to make a good (side) income in this whole e-business thing. Even though i'm new I think i can learn alot and with time, experience and a little luck i think it may be possible (hard to mention a timeframe). Right now I think I have a good idea but I have no idea where to start working it out. I'm honestly not that good in anything (design, scripting etc) so I think i'll have to hire or ask people to work something out with me. Can anyone advise me where or how to start? I don't wanna give it all out. But it will be a database driven site (let's just use imdb.com as an example but simpler). That's it for now
Welcome to DP Start by taking a look at the Content Management Systems over at http://www.opensourcecms.com/ and see if any of these will be a good framework to build your site onto. Often they can reduce the development time by alot. And if your idea is content based then you may need to do very little - other than add the content!

I'd say spend a month reading, then a couple months asking, then you'll have some great sites up and running & making you cold hard guilders in no time.
