Grrrrrr.... I'm listening to the archive now, and you'll be able to hear some of the echo I was hearing when we were chatting. Another issue we didn't have last week, so I'm not sure what that was about. At this point, I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope for no tech problems next week. Otherwise, it at least sounds like you can make out what we're saying, and you'll get a lot of great info from Jeff on using directories for SEO purposes and on what it takes to run a directory, so there's a plus at least.
LOL yep he has hit me in the PM's with that crap trying to convince me to purchase some website with his spamming crap......arrrgg
@ jhmattern Thank you very much for allowing us to communicate and ask questions as that definatly makes the show so much more powerful and rich ...many thx and ill make sure i stay tuned... so i bookmarked it! manythx malcolm
I'm planning to do transcripts of the first two shows, likely this weekend. They'll go up on the show's official blog at http://talk.chicktech.net (when I finally get that finished).
I'm dissappionted I can't give any interview as my voice is so far from Madonna or Prince My last live interview on radio you could hear when I was 7. I was singin' and dancin' (what a pity there was no camera). From that moment my voice changed so much and I decided to move for directories business. No need to singin', bla bla, dancin'. Well, not everyone can be Madonna, Prince or Jeff...
There's always the archive. I was just playing through some of the "dead air" segment... where Jeff and someone else had called in, are talking to each other, and someone (I'd guess Jeff) is asking if this is BlogTalkRadio. LOL It was funny. And there I was in real-time trying to talk to these guys, thinking people could hear me yammering on and just not the callers. lol I'll have to contact BTR and figure out what the heck was going on with that, and with the annoying echoing (you can hear it on the archive, but it sounded 3 times as loud blaring into my ear as I was talking). Well, thanks to anyone who actually stuck with it through that point and listened to the actual show. I'm working on the archive post for http://talk.chicktech.net now, and you'll be able to access the archive link there as well. If I can find time before the weekend to add this particular archive, I'll be sure to do that.
I'm already listening Jen on the 'niche section' currently. only thing I suggest is some sort of normalization on the volume, as it goes high and low quite often. thx for the effort and interview. @jeff.... you're too calm from hahaha (oh, and i'll get all of that done today)
Yeah, I wish that were an option. That's unfortunately a BTR problem. I could understand it while they adjusted things like the callers coming on, but I noticed it too... as far is the volume dropping at a few places. I'll put that on the list to talk to their rep about to see if there's anything I can do about it for future shows. A friend hosts a show as well, and has had a few similar problems. Hopefully it's something they're already working on....
Perhaps when listening to the archives. Everything live is done over the phone, so there's no audio software involved on the host's or caller's end (unless they're using Skype or something similar to call in, which can have quality issues at times).
http://blogtalkradio.com/hostpage.aspx?show_id=30185 < this isnt still working here any other option to save it as a mp3 or something and giving us a download link
Yep, it's still working. But like I said, there's "dead air" for like 18 minutes, b/c BTR had some problem in connecting the host line. You just have to give it a few seconds to load, and then skip it ahead to a little over the 18:00 mark. If you look further down in the main content area though, you'll see the first two shows listed. To the right of them should be three listening options (I believe .mp3 and .wav options are there... haven't tried saving one, but I'd imagine you can).
