I'll not be sad if google drop out, but i don't want it happene right now, i'm waiting for my first check from them. he he he.
I was on the web way before Google, and I didn't know it was bad, so it didn't bother me. Now, I don't know if I would be satisfied with anything else. I do think Google is trying to dip it's pen into too many pots now, and it ought to stop trying to do everything, and get back to what it does best...search.
The internet without Google would be like the world without computers - the same but little more behind and uncomfortable. Do you know how many people are without computers in the world? They have no problem living like this, but you couldn't, don't you? (at least I can't) I can not live without Google either.
The internet existed for years before Google, and I'm sure if Google dropped off the face of the internet, some other search engine would fill the space. Google is not the be-all-end-all of the internet.
Darwin's Law, Survival of the fittest!!! If Google were to be shutdown in the next few days, this event would open up a whole lot of opportunities for Yahoo and MSN... But I believe there will also be a substantial shake up in the way the internet is structured these days... webmasters will re-think about their functionality of their website and their will be much attention going into SEO... Anyways, this is just my 2 cents... the day google shutsdown business... that is the day the world will come to an end (So it's never going to happen )
I think that the other search engines would of just developed a ranking system simler to Google's trademarked and patented PageRanking system.
