Internet Traffic Statistics: Find out where you can find the traffic

    We are doing lots of things to draw traffic in our website but for perfect analysis we need statistics regarding search term, visitor’s interest and mostly why and where people are getting into websites and how they prefer to be there.

    SESSION 1:
    Let’s start with visitor’s statistics

    The following data shows the trend of time spend by US people on different sector or platforms across the web

    Now from the above data it can be concluded that.

    1. For generating mass traffic to your website regardless of your niche Follow social media marketing
    2. For spreading your product updates and brand promotion, Email marketing can be the next possible way ( again without niche )
    3. For targeting your niche customer that can add your conversion rate follow portal marketing i.e through spreading your link among your relevant places.
    4. Spreading awareness using videos and ppt can be the next attempt to target your niche after portal
    5. After this comes the search based marketing i.e Google SERP ranking. This is the best for targeting the niche and i think this traffic contributes the most for conversion (for this reason of conversion, most people opt Google optimization )
    6. The last one is the classifieds. They ae also a good source of driving traffic. They can be niche and sometimes may be just a visitor.

    Social Bookmarking is also an effective tool for internet marketing. Spreading your network among the niche or making people aware about your choice and reason for choosing it, is a fruitful step of bookmarking.

    But again the question arises how to plan where i can have maximum traffic. Let's have a look over the following data:

    1. Apart from the email marketing we are dealing with top 9 Bookmarking sites.
    2. Facebook tops the chart but again the traffic from facebook may or mayn't be niche and so the conversion rate is unknown.
    3. Then lies the DIGG. The giant bookmarking site. The extensive search result of Digg can draw niche traffic or you can make a network among the relevants of the industry. Sharing your digg in other relevant portals or social media sites can help a lot
    4. After Digg comes Stumbleupon. Can have the potential to draw niche viewers many sites picks up bookmarking of here if you have made your bookmark public.
    5. After stumbleupon lies Reditt, Delicious and rest are just for providing a link as given by portals.

    Which one from the above traffic source (as per the internet time spend by user) do you think is capable of contributing heighest conversion rate ?
