Internet marketing membership site

I would like to create a site in which members have access to downloadable products - ebooks, software, templates, audio/video. Membership would be in free and paid categories (for one year). The site is likely to be similar to www.surefirewealth.com

Please, post or pm me for any comments and suggestions. For example, which script should I use for the "search product" box? What script or software should I use for membership? Which payment processors are most cost effective? How do I ensure that only members are able to download products, even though non-members may view the product list and description?

Make it a forum, use vBulletin - this might be the easiest approach.

There are so many possibilities with so many options for scripts and software. You can use Wordpress or Joomla to run the membership site where you can easily include the video/audio you mention. Scripts like JV Manager in conjunction with LinklokURL can be used as means to manage and secure your products. Or you can go with a nice script like Happar ME which is both user friendly and powerful as your base of operations. I also like DL Guard to manage and secure your products. I think you will have to integrate different platforms and scripts to create the site that you are referring to.

PM me - tell me a little more detail about what you want to do and I would be happy to discuss some of the different platforms and share my thoughts on how to go about it.

How would you do this with Wordpress? Password protect the posts?

I just have never seen Wordpress used in this way, and I am very curious.
