My biggest obstacles are the clients themselves. I can't count how many times a client has hired us to create a website then market it, but in the end they disagree with our tactics, many of which are well-known throughout the SEO industry. People... they're hard to deal with I tell you. Lol.

Like many others here, distraction is my main enemy when it comes to IM as well as many other things in life. I recognize this situation from several years ago, when I used to enjoy creating music. I was always distracted by something on the Internet, playing games with friends or maybe it was something on the TV e.t.c. I ended up selling almost all of my equipment. I was easily distracted before I had access to the Internet as well, but I was much younger then and had my reasons..

I also agree with what rsanchez78118 said about persistance being key to your success with IM, it sounds like common sense to me.

Lately, for me, it's trying to accomplish one idea at a time as there's too much swimming around in my head, lol. Internet Marketing allows for so many different ways of communication, that it's tough for me to stop jumping from one cool idea to the next.

    To your success,

Separating the so-called "guru" garbage from what actually works. Sometimes less is more; otherwise, you just get information overload.

It is not really easy to focus as an internet marketer.

As you think of writing Google ads

You think of optimizing your webpages

    You think of checking mails

    You think of writing mails

    You think of writing articles

What time do you then have for your self

    It is not really easy

but I believe that when the going gets hard the hard gets going

I wouldn't call it an obstacle... a challenge is perhaps a bit better word.... :)

Yeah, it's better defined. An online marketer need to create a plan to overcome marketing challenges. Any marketer is an aggressive creature and "Any Obstacle" will not stop him/her trying to achieve his/her goals.

I think the greatest obstacle is ourselves when it comes to IM. There are a million distractions you have to battle with at all times. Disciplining ourselves is probably one of the hardest things to do. IMHO anyway.

Yep... staying focused for me as well, so many things going on and far too many distractions.

I am glad that most people said that though as I didn't realize it was such a big problem for other people.

Also writing articles/posts for me, it just seems like a real chore when I know I have to write some content and end up finding excuses for putting it off for as long as poss but I am working on overcoming that asap!
