Today I bumped into a site which seemed really funny to me so I thought it could be interesting sharing it: http://www.internetlastpage.com/
It's really funny ! Like somewhere in universe, a very very big wall, with words This is the end of universe
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/When_was_the_Internet_born http://www.internetlastpage.com To be honest, i learn something new today.
Thats funny but unfortunately a very incorrect term "internet". Should have said World Wide Web(web/www). People don't seem to get the different nowadays XD And they are also kinda wrong with the date... accually that depends on how you look at it. Douglas Engelbart showed the first demo of what would be referred to as the internet in 1968 (the legendary demo of the NLS system he had worked on), but the idea was invented long before that time. And the real deal - the first web page didn't see the light of the day before after 1990, since that was when the first prototype of www was written.
That cracked me up...I caught their link to the first page of the internet...shame I never think of things like that.
