I have a mac and it seems that when I try to open internet explorer is opens a blank window and then imediately shuts down. Do I have a virus? I think I may need spyware removal but can't find any for macs. Can anyone help me?

If you are using OS X, you should be using Safari or Firefox. If you are using OS9, you should upgrade to OS X. :)

Chances of a virus are very slim to none. What is your OS? Oh and I agree with DigitalPoint, however I'll try to help if you need it. :)

why is firefox and safari better to use than internet explorer on a mac? I want to get my favorites off of my internet explorer but can't find the file and can't open the program. I have OSX, everything is up to date.

Firefox and Safari are better because they are more current. More up to date. With web standards and with security fixes.

To get your favorites out jut go to home->library->Explorer->Favorites.html

Or, if you can open IE, you should find an export area. I also think that Safari and Firefox may import them for you or we could find a third party free utility.

You can also try the IE 7 beta which should fix the problem.

I've heard IE7 blows goats, though totally unrelated to this problem.

Use FireFox and just import the bookmarks!

IE7 for Mac? I don't think so. Someone is not reading this thread clearly enough.
