Hello Everyone. I found that Microsoft Internet Explorer is coming in March 2010. I hope that Microsoft will improve its browser this time. But I have heard some humors that IE 9 will be far back than modern stardands. So, lets see what Microsoft will do in this version. Here is a link for whole story. Best Regards
I dunno, I guess its been a while now, but has IE8 really been out that long? I dunno, IE8 never really worked for me, I guess it almost seems like they should fix it up before actually moving on.
I'm still using IE ......maybe because it is default browser at window.....so I can find this browser at most computer...
This is pure speculation. Guesswork. Microsoft is going to discuss its development at MIX next month and that's all we know. Going from behind the scenes to release means skipping any alpha or beta releases to developers, something they did for IE8. Last I heard, IE9 wasn't due till sometime next year. In any case, IE9 released early details of IE9 on their IEBlog and, as expected, it's still the worst browser on the planet. Years behind all others in modern standards and practices, 32/100 on Acid3 (while all others are in the 90-100 range) and slow, slow, slow.
As of next month, IE will no longer be "default". All users will receive a popup asking which browser they would like to use. Since IE9, which isn't due for two years, is already shown to be inept, no one in their right mind will choose IE and will select a far more modern browser.
Comments given above are among the reasons why I jump ship to Firefox, can't stand the speed, can't stand the bugs.
You should more look forward to what IE9 will NOT bring you. It will NOT bring you XHTML or SVG or <canvas> or <video> or <audio> or @font-face and an Acid3 rating of 32/100 compared to other browsers 90-100 rating and, perhaps, next to nothing for HTML5. Javascript performance will be the slowest of all the browsers, twice as slow as Chrome and Safari, little or no improvement in DOM support, and CSS3 support of, uh, rounded corners? Is that the best they can do?
Based on IEBlog by the product manager and other developers there and point blank questions they won't answer when I run into them on mailing lists, twitter, personal blogs, etc. Anyone can look this info up and I've posted links to them many times.
I wonder if they will ever rename it? Probably not, but at some point ie 9, 10, 11, 29, etc. etc. starts to sound kind of stupid after the numbered version gets large. Like hey what ie version are you using 98 or 99. I use ie 8 rarely just to check how sites I work on display in ie. Most of my work is done with firefox. So it doesn't really matter to me that much. I really don't like ie, but I use it just for testing and developing web sites. I could live without it totally.
I think IE9 if and when it comes out will better support CSS3 and HTML5 standards and improve upon Acid3 compliance. I use IE8 as well as Firefox and I have to admit that some sites are coded for and look better in IE than in Firefox. May be it is the fault of the website.
