Google Chrome, Firefox are better browser than Internet Explorer 8. In my opinion Chrome is a dominant in browser war.

IE 8.0, takes more time compared to it's previous versions, but it posses lots of added facilities that can really give a good competition to other browsers.:)

Leave it to DP users to bring up a year old thread about an old browser. Sheesh.

I don't appreciate Internet Explorer as a whole and that's why I prefer to use Firefox. IE is very buggy and doesn't render all websites properly.

Better get SRware iron, which is a web browser developed from the same Chromium open source code, with the same looking that Google Chrome but with improved speed and without the vices of Google Chrome, which intrudes your privacy and tries to manipulate your surfing habits.

Read about it and beware of Google Chrome, http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron_chrome_vs_iron.php

Chrome intruding facts were also published by many serious news sources, if you do a research for Google Chrome intrusion of privacy.

Yeah there it is again. That "intrudes your privacy" statement that NO ONE can ever identify beyond those words. People would make you think somehow Google finds out your name, address, phone, social security number, sex preferences and everything else about you just by using their browser. Of course, all of that is false but that doesn't matter to people who read all about it on some forum somewhere posted by some guy once.

And the "manipulate your surfing habits" refers to Google and not the browser, which presents you with search results and ads based on what you search for and tries to exclude things you don't seem interested in. I kinda like not being shown things I'm not surfing for. I guess this poster prefers being shown anything unrelated.

Of course, television and radio stations, magazines, and newspapers have been doing the exact same thing for decades and that hasn't seemed to bother anyone. I'm sure it bothers them cause it's the same guy on the same forum who told them it's supposed to bother them and they shouldn't question what "it" is. They should just do as they are told and bear arms up against this awful, awful thing that's never done anything they say it does but, again, don't think for yourself; do as your told.

It's easy to impress the ignorant. See my link below but I'm sure it's way over your head.

I am now using IE9 and it is a good stable browser.
    May go back to firefox.
But one is NOT ignorant for liking IE9 or any other browser.
Each browser has pros and cons, and it is up to the individual to select which browser to use.

A response for the ignorant. Since you can't read the link I show, or you don't understand what you read, I'll put it into simpler words for you even though I've already stated this multiple times: IE9 not good supporting the web. All the other browsers very good supporting the web. IE9 very, very bad. Any other browser, very, very good.

If English is not your native tongue, I'll translate that for you, too.

I've just installed IE 9 and I must say it way faster than IE 8, and in my view IE 8 was similar to IE 7 :)

IE9 does not work like IE8 which doesn't work like IE7 which doesn't work like IE6 and none of them will work like IE10 which won't work like any of the other far more modern browsers.

IE9 has the best security. Then 2nd option is Mozilla Firefox.
But if you are using Google Chrome for fast browsing then you have great security threat.
