IE is a closed system, unlike other more modern browsers, and cannot be tweaked.

Web traffic is the amount of data sent and received by visitors to a web site. It is a large portion of Internet traffic. This is determined by the number of visitors and the number of pages they visit. Sites monitor the incoming and outgoing traffic to see which parts or pages of their site are popular and if there are any apparent trends, such as one specific page being viewed mostly by people in a particular country. There are many ways to monitor this traffic and the gathered data is used to help structure sites, highlight security problems or indicate a potential lack of bandwidth — not all web traffic is welcome.

IE lacks with lot of features that present new generation browsers got.SO there is a limit how much you can accelerate it.Expect a IE9 release from Microsoft soon.Lets hope it will be much faster than its older versions.

Sincerely speaking, I don't appreciate Internet Explorer as a whole and that's why I prefer to use Firefox.

IE9 won't be out till some time next year, if then. The beta won't even be out till September. It, too, will be years behind all other browsers in modern standards and practices.

Don't bother making IE faster. Just switch to Chrome or Firefox. IE is very buggy and doesn't render all websites properly.

If you really want to use IE 8 and wants to make it faster, you can try Tune up utilities, it can optimize almost all browser and also your internet connection.

You can not make a race horse from a pig.

I use IE8 a lot because it handles bookmarks so well. But, everyday at least once I get angry because I am waiting for it to connect to a site, especially if I open it in a new tab.

That makes absolutely no sense at all. Do you hate hitting yourself in the head with a hammer but the hammer works so well you can't stop?

Objectively, IE isn't that bad a browser. I use chrome much more, but that's because it's that much better than IE. IE renders websites just fine in my opinion. I have heard so many times IE is a bad browser, but someone should help me by giving me an example of bad rendering by IE that is done properly by firefox.
Whose look and feel I hate.

Then you've never developed web sites. You aren't objective. You're naive.
That's due to the hard work of the developers who hacked and picked at the multitude of bugs, non-standard operation and quirks in IE to try and get standard markup to work in it.
Only a bad developer would have a page up that only works in FF and not IE. For one of many web sites that compare technical issues with IE, look at my link, but I don't think you'll understand it.

Chrome is the fastest I ever seen, BUT. IE 9 is also fast, if you have a windows (Vista/7/2008) you can download it from google or their official website.

BUT IE9 is technically inept and incompetent while Chrome is one of the most advanced browsers.
