    FF2?

I used to loathe FF2 for that very reason...3 on the other hand kicks serious BUTT!! I've used beta 3&4(using 4 now) and they all run great....doesn't chew memory hand over fist like FF2 did.

also if it's just for surfing, Opera is a lean alt to either FF/IE

Firefox is good. But I prefer Opera to everything else. Sadly it is not as widely supported yet but it is getting there.

As for IE. It is alright but there is something about IE that I just cannot stand.

I haven't seen IE8 yet. But I am sure it will suck. Microsoft all latest products are crap. I'd better stick with Firefox.

I use firefox aswell. Tried out IE 8, but it's not that great. Lot of bugs still in it too. People like me just want a lightweight browser that does what it is meant for, safely browse the internet. IE still doesn't provide that.

I wasted enough time on IE, can't take IE8 burden now.

    FF3 all the way :p :D
