sometimes FF is being crashed. I think this will help me out during those days... great stuff dude. + Rep. added.
I am with Microsoft camp, Firefox is not all-good, if an image is missing, then Firefox does not put a "x" to make sure the image is missing, it just displays alt text that gets mistaken for surrounding text, and until recently you cant right click on a Input type Image Submit button to get a context menu in Firefox, and Firefox doesnt pass mouse scrolls to the browser window, if the mouse is over embeded flash content. All these works fine in IE7 and IE8. This is just a sample.
IE 8 Add-ons rock! I'm using the following: LeechVideo (http://www.download.leechvideo.com) – Cool IE addon that lets you download favorite videos from popular video sharing websites ( i.e. Youtube, Google Video, etc.) Billeo ( http://www.ieaddons.com/en/details/finance/Billeo__Pay_it_your_way_/ )- Password Management, Shopping, & Bill Pay Toolbar for Windows. It features an encrypted Password Manager, eWallet with 1-click Form Fill, and the ability to Save and Search online receipts and web pages. Inline Search ( http://www.ieforge.com/InlineSearch/HomePage ) – Integrates an in-page search feature to Internet Explorer. Do you guys know any other cool add-ons?
IE8 is 11 years behind all other browsers in modern standards and practices. NO ONE should be using it at all yet some here are excited about these add-ons? Inept at best, IE8 is incapable of rendering XHTML, the DOM since 1998, can't display SVG images, is behind all others in CSS3 and HTML5 support. Let's put it this way. The best developers in the world, those you read about online and their books, all shun Internet Explorer. So if the best in the world don't use IE, why are you?
Hmm... that's weird, my IE8 came in as a Microsoft Update, I think you have to check for updates. Start>All programs>Windows Update
I have use FF 3.5.1 with no crash for more than 8 hours/day since a week ago. It's fast an stable that very impressive to me.
