Thanks for the link, I have been wanting to give this thing a try. Especially after all the threads about adsense not showing up.

Downloaded it. Hate it.. It looks too much like FF for my liking..

I was never mad about FF's interface and I'm very unimpressed that the "File Edti View" Menu is turned off by default and so far I can't find an option to move the address bar lower than the very top level.

I believe Microsoft is going towards what I call an Menu-less UI. Office 12 has the same thing. Instead it's organized in a group of either tabs or panels.

But I love IE7 anyways. I have the Windows Vista build of IE7 and it just is amazing if you ask me. I like it a lot better then Firefox.

    IE7 is quite good.

    All i want is

    1) Ability to synchronize bookmarks between Firefox and IE7
    2) IE7 should have the ability to convert text links into clickable links, just like the greasemonkey script
    3) Ability to use firefox extensions (i know it is nearly impossible) but it would be excellent

The greatest thing about this is that IE7 will allow international window users that prefer using IE a chance to finally use international native domain names. Us guys who are domainers & got in early are gonna make a fortune. I don't even care for a PC personally but I sincerely thank Microsoft for this one.

    Thank Ya Bill....

The best feature of ie7 is the quick tabs!

The footprint for ie7 is much smaller than its previous incarnation, so i can have 10 tabs open and it performs fine..

Does anyone else really hate the way the text is rendered?

Tools>Internet Options>Advanced and uncheck "Use clear type" in the Multimedia section sorts it out.

I wonder why they do stupid stuff like this?

    It's anti-aliased...

Nothing weird there - that's the way text is *supposed* to be rendered...

It hurt my eyes so I removed it. The problem is that most people will not know how to remove it.

MS would be safer keeping to the settings on IE6.

Other than that I like it a lot. Keep finding new things including a sort of address bar in popups which is useful.

    Why should they remove it?

How does it hurt your eyes - I rekon you're being picky...
And use an outdated method of rendering fonts?

As an FYI, Mac had rendered fonts like this for years... Much better like this IMO...

Also, just so you know, ie6 has the option to render text anti-aliased, but it's switched off by default.
