Read it in todays newspaper also.. http://www.itnews.com.au/News/NewsStory.aspx?story=65408 Life without internet
It will never be done.. They are just mad because newspapers Will be gone by 2010 for sure What we need to do, is stop these little kids from making a million geocities and tripods and freewebs sites, that is the source of the problem..
life without internet, just like life without money like they predicted to, will never happen (gladly)
It won't happen. There are so many great advances in the speed of things that won't happen for a long time.
They'll also start 20 websites with massive fonts advertising "Create Your Own Internet" and "Build Your Techno Empire"... and then try and sell you an ebook full of out-of date content. They won't tell you it's out of date though. Personally, I wouldn't mind if it went down. It would give me an excuse to find something new to do!
All these scare stories never materialise, do they? Its justa way for a journalist/reporter to carry a story to fill the pages of a newspaper or webspace.
I'm joining the crowd of doubtfuls on this happening as well. I'm pretty sure that the internet wont face that drastic of a slowdown.
Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if access to some sites got extremely slow, but the thing is that the internet is designed to never fail. Internet is a NET, so while one part of the net might get bloated and have many users, other parts of the internet will still have speedy connections. (if that makes sense)
