But some Internet Marketer are either not pay any tax, duties, levi whatsoever or just don't even care about any legalities for their business. They also don't even care about accountabilities for all their actions.
Does that mean we should make everyone wait months (government beurocracy, you know) and pay a lot of money to start a website? If someone evades tax paying; that is illegal, we can't make new rules to regulate something that is already against the law.
Nope... I mean that, we should simplified the process of licensing the Internet Business. Maybe the cost and process to acquire the license is minimal (maybe at USD$10 per year) combining with BBBOnline services. The process step can be simplified as we fill-up a Benificial Tax Witholding.
But why? If you make money, you pay taxes; if you don't, you don't; if you have a business, you have a business; if you don't, you don't. What seperates a brick and mortar business from an internet business and why should there be legislation regarding this? Also, imo, there should be no need for any licenses/registration for a business as long as earnings are reported although there may be tax benefits.
Before governments were formed and started taxing people lived in small tribes. Then there were places like Egypt, Rome, Greece that heavily taxed civilians so the ruling class could live well. Then they grew into a wonderful feudal system where you were almost guaranteed to live like shit your whole life. And now we've got what we've got. Doesn't seem so bad now, does it? There always have been and always will be taxes.
Illegal trader or business tend to do more scam rather than legal business entity. Yes, it tedious to fill up tax form and license form with all the government things but it may help in some other ways.
Your internet business is governed by law just like any other aspect of your behavior. You are not allowed to be fraudulent online or face to face.
Yeah.. that's right... But how do user compare the legal and illegal entity. What differentiate them is legal (use license) but illegal (no license).
We have to pay tax and national insurance just like any other business, so why should internet busineses have a licence - where have you heard this rumour or did you make it up
It's all just a discussion only. Maybe some country need to license their local Internet Business but not other country. Hope that this thread will not make anyone feel uneasy.
So should we license only in countries known for cybercrime (*cough*Russia*cough*) and license emailing for countries know for their scams (*cough*NIgeria*cough*)?
The Domesday Book started the first nationally based taxation system in the UK. That was in 1086! http://www.domesdaybook.co.uk/
when a person gets a domain and webhosting that should always remain be the only license required to do business.. if a bad apple does get in there should be more groups like the BBB policing the web.. moreover if a government were to license the net, whose government will do it and for whom?
I suggest this because I found that many e-commerce website out there with neither integrity nor ettiquete doing the business. They mainly open their business just to make scam or fraud. That's why I urge the licensing issue out here. Maybe we don't need government to issue license, just an independent bodies to monitor and make enforcement.
