Does anyone know who actually owns the Internet and allows companies to sell names? Why the huge difference in prices for the same names from different companies.

So who can license the names to be purchased and how much to they actually make, and where does the ones go. There are so many squatters out there already just spending and buying more and more names. It seems lie a deep dark secret...

Nominet is the uk offical register so ther prices are like £97 a year.

Alot of companies use resellers which also use 3rd parties ect thats why they are lower.
