    Hey all

Two months ago I jacked in the job as an accountant (and a great salary) to start what I call and internet adventure.

So far I have 4 sites live and have had a great time.

I managed to sell the idea to my wife as a sabbatical , problem is I am loving it and would love to carry on past the three month limit I have promised the wife, but the earning potential seems a bit rubbish. I have only made $7 on adsense. If this is going to be full time I need to make cash.

I am really glad I found this forum to balance some of the crap I have been finding out there.

I know an accountant who is doing just that as well...although he's not worked for 10 months now, again though I think his adsense has brought him in $4.31 over the first 3 months of his forum going live.

He's also trying to set up some web based market places that he hopes will land him with monthly recurring subscription fees though, but he had to scrap one of the websites because the developer was rubbish.

Good luck in persuading the wife to let you carry on playing!:D

    Thanks guys ,

Seems to be a mixed poll.

I suppose the question is really can one make a living from a few websites without selling a product or developing an ap to sell onto one of the giants ?

There is a good chance that unless you come up with something very unique, you'll be forced to make that oh so difficult tradeoff decision between money, and happyness. Im guessing that since you "jacked" your account gig, you weren't all that happy with the profession. (You aren't alone here, I am still in university (college) and switched from doing an accounting/finance degree in commerce, to a commerce/IT dergree. I'm just too much of a computer geek at heard to be an accountant)

I would highly suggest that you start your internet adventure and continue your job with it as well. If you find it worth it or your internet business profits you more then your job then quit it. Do not fail to plan!!! you might find it very hard but then you wont be able to do a lot so be very careful making this decision. You lose nothing if you start internet business in addition to your job you can quit it later but you might not get it back again later hopefuly you are with me until this point. :D

In the beggining , I thought I could do both.

But I am an impatient kind of person. Besides my previous job was pretty taxing leaving very little time for other activities outside of family.

Anyway its too late now , I am already two months into this.

I might have to do both jobs when my savings run out.

    Thanks for the support
