The "Freebie" package, which tags a specialty Amazon bookshop relevant to your site on to that site (adding several thousand pages in the process) is now available in a version that allows the user to select any one of four of Amazon's national divisions as the source of the book titles and information. The four are the U.S., the U.K., Germany, and Japan (those being the four, of the six total, presently offering "AWS" XML access). The German and Japanese forms will, in this package, return only books in English (which both those divisions carry a good number of). This package can be run in parallel with the original or any of the nationals, so that a user can have, for example, a U.S.-based bookshop and a U.K.-based bookshop at the same time. This release is nominally a beta, but--barring the unexpected--will soon become the main branch of the Freebie package. After that, I will convert this new version to the alternative form that does not require Apache software. The new release is called Freebie-I ("I" for "International").
