Hi Gurus, Confusion: Moving to International SEO Website: radiantskills.com We are an International accredited training company "Radiant Skills" located in south africa. Our current site is radiantskills.com and we doing its SEO for keywords e.g : "itil training south africa" , "itil training". We have set Geotarget at Web Master tools for this domain as South africa. Now, we seeing not much progress in seo ranking even though we are working whitehat practices. So, we planning to redesign the site and we want to expand in asian and european market. Now, how do we about it? Please advice, if we shall use radiantskills.com and use the sub folders for south africa market (.com/za), UAE Market (.com/ae) etc. And than we remove the geo target of .com to non and set the Geo targets specific to sub folder e.g south africa for .com/za domain. Our main operation is in south africa. What onsite content e.g page titles, meta descriptions, and actual page copy will go on .com and .com/za? Can we not do this : Keep the same onsite content of current (.com) and copy the same onsite content e.g page titles, meta descriptions, and actual page copy to (.com/za) and (.com/ae in english only) but change a bit to reflect the markets we're targeting, e.g Google map, Local Number, Geo target set, and subfolder itself? Or shall we put the redirect on radiantskills.com domain, if it found on SERp, and visited, redirects to radiantskills.com/za? But in that case, we missing everything on .com, e.g the backlinks which were created with other sites, if Google bot crawls it, see's 404 and than will provide no link juice? Than we have to redo the Off page efforts again for .com/za instead of .com and leave off page effort of daily basis on .com? Reason: Improved ranking using Sub folders and better permalinks structure e.g from /itil-course-training-in-south-africa/ to /za/itil-training Please, advice us. Quickest reply appreciated. Thanks
www. radiantskills. com/za/itil-training (redirect) #16 google.es / 15 google.com / 20 google.de / 31 google.co.uk(researched from a German IP) for > itil training south africa You should not make it more complicated than it is. Add some articles, spread over the site with the location(s) you wish to rank for too, and it ill be done (normally). You may look additionally for some links from those locations to enforce the effect (don't overdo with the links, just a few or the penguin may hit you). For more and detailed advice my consulting service might be interesting.
The besite is quite good and i think it would rank higher if you do some basic link buliding activity ans also sharing on scoail media. DO you have any data for your keyword you working on?
